Tigers lose in the sectional finals

It was another good game right down to the last inning. Unfortunately, they lost. It was a very close game, 2 to 3. I am so proud of Dusty and the team. They all had their hearts in the game and played well. They are only losing two seniors so they will be a great team again next year.

Go Tigers!

Warsaw Tigers are going to the sectional finals!!!

Oh my gosh! The Warsaw Tigers won again this afternoon - Go Tigers! Dusty scored 2 runs, stole a base, and got several outs. The game was very tight. In the third inning, Dusty was walked. The player behind him got a hit and Dusty got to second base. He stole and got to third. Then a strike out. The next player got a hit and Dusty scored. In the fifth inning, the other team scored 2 runs, putting them ahead by one. In the sixth inning the Tigers scored 1 run to tie the game. In the top of the seventh inning, the Tigers scored two more runs to take the lead, 4-2. In the bottom of the seventh inning, the other team scored one run before the Tigers got their 3 outs. The final score was 4-3.

Friday will be their next game, the sectional finals. We don't know yet where it will be held, because they pick a neutral location. I have a few pictures I will post tomorrow.

Winners again

The Warsaw Tigers have won again! It was a real nailbitter - the final score was 6 to 5. I have never been so nervous at a game. They will be playing in the sectional semi-finals on Tuesday. All the boys, except one, rode the bus home - poor bus driver, I hope he had ear plugs because they were very loud and happy!!! I invited one of the other players parents over to our house after the game. We had a nice celebration while waiting for the boys to return on the bus. Another player came over also - it was all about baseball until after midnight.
I remembered my camera and here are the pics. Most of them did not turn out well, but here are a couple that did.

Dusty is ready for defense playing second base.

Dusty showing the bunt - he actually did bunt and advanced the runner.

Dusty batting.

Jessi and Brandt - they were happy that I picked them up early from school for the game.

The "Boys of Summer" do it again!

Wow! Another great baseball game. Dusty's team won 10 to 6 this afternoon. Dusty batted 3 for 3 with 1 walk. Mama has to brag a little. lol

They will play again on Friday, somewhere about 2-3 hours away. I am going to take Jessi out of school early Friday so she can go to Dusty's game. Woo hoo!!! I forgot my camera again. I will tell Jessi to remind me to take it Friday.

Division Champs

Dusty's baseball team won their division title on Thursday night. It was a great game! This is only the fifth time in the school's history to win the division in varsity baseball. Woo hoo!

My daddy and Josephine came up to visit a few days. Dusty had asked if they could come and watch him play baseball at Dwyer Stadium on Friday. They surprised me and they here on Wednesday morning. The were also surprised because Dusty had games on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They throughly enjoyed all the games and got to see the team win their division on Thursday. Below are pictures from the game Friday at Dwyer Stadium (a minor league baseball team's stadium).

Today will be their first sectional game. I am so excited and nervous. The game starts at 4:30 pm. I will try to post after the game.

I want to blog......l can't blog......well, maybe I can

Life is crazy! There's something on my mind - I want to blog about it - but I can't mention it. It's not anything really bad, not something good, just something on my mind. What do you do when you want to talk about something, but you promised not to talk about it??? I know this sounds silly, but there is something on my mind.

Something I can talk about - final exams. I am in my last few weeks of college. I will be graduating soon. Yeah!!! At the end of this month, I will be starting my own business, 3a web design. Did I mention that I have obtained my first client? I am so excited to finish and get started.

But still, there is something on my mind.

Happy Birthday Dusty!

Today is Dusty's 14th birthday. I drove him to school this morning - in the snow. He has baseball practice after school until 7:00pm. We will have cake and presents tonight. I will post pictures tonight or tomorrow. It's hard to believe my "baby" is 14. I feel old.
